On Island Experience
St. John is famous for it's white sand beaches, crystal blue waters and emerald green mountains. The island has a nuanced and rich history dating from the first settlements in 1717, the 1733 Slave Rebellion, the United States buying the territory in 1917 to when Laurance Rockafeller donated roughly 60% of the island to the US National Park in 1956.
With all of this history hidden in the woods and under water there is a never ending source of new adventures. From rum ruin hiking tours or ship wreck snorkels to cocktails on the beach St. John has more than a little something for everyone.
